Sr. Business Engineer, Latin America

Job Description

To seize the rapidly increasing opportunities, our Latin America team is hiring an entrepreneurial engineer to lead technology development for new and existing electronic payment ventures throughout the region. We are looking for a self-starter with solid technical experience, a strategic business perspective, and outstanding communication and team player abilities.   • You will be constantly innovating solutions to challenging connectivity problems that require integrating our proprietary processing platform with a large variety of partner systems for the electronic delivery of financial services.
  • You will work with a highly motivated, cross-functional team responsible for regional strategy, business development, and program implementation, in collaboration with our in-country teams.
  • You will interact with key partners across the region on a daily basis, and interface with our 40+ IT development team for the execution of customizations according to your design.

Responsibilities

  • Advance business development by identifying opportunities, and collaborating on the presentation of our services, and design of customized solutions.
  • Lead the design and execution of custom connectivity with strategic partners in the delivery of mobile and card-based financial services, including banks, retail networks, mobile network operators, data center providers, and other third-party service providers.
  • Work directly with customers, partners, and business teams to ensure that solutions are both optimally designed and implemented
  • Determine the feasibility of custom or non-standard deployment models, and obtain appropriate approvals and create required documentation.
  • Manage out-sourced technical resources
  • Provide technical leadership in planning and development of the enterprise architecture.
  • Actively manage and coordinate tasks to ensure timely delivery of solutions between business units and partners.
  • Create test scenarios for technical solutions, and ensure these solutions are adequately
  • Collaborate with teams across various groups to enhance our internal knowledge base, and ensure that the support team is trained on new and updated solutions
  • Research current trends and emerging technologies, and provide strategic advice on how on their business impact
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • B.S. in technology, MBA a plus
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving and project management capabilities
  • Self-starter, outstanding interpersonal skills, high sense of urgency
  • Great oral and written communications skills
  • English & Spanish required, Portuguese a plus
